Professional Odor Removal & Treatment

Some odors don't respond to regular washing. Smoke, mildew, mothballs, pet smells, and deeply embedded body odor can survive multiple wash cycles and remain locked in fabric fibers long after a garment looks clean. At Super Cleaners USA, we use professional-grade ozone treatment and targeted odor mitigation processes to neutralize these odors at the source — not mask them with fragrance, but eliminate them entirely.

Why Standard Washing Doesn't Always Work

Odors are caused by microscopic organic particles that bond to fabric fibers. Water and detergent can remove surface contamination, but deep-set odors — particularly those from smoke, mildew, or prolonged storage — penetrate the fiber structure itself. Standard washing agitates the surface but doesn't reach these particles. Professional ozone treatment works differently: ozone molecules penetrate fabric at a molecular level, oxidizing and breaking down the odor-causing compounds directly.

Our Odor Treatment Process

We assess each garment or textile individually to determine the best treatment approach. In many cases, odor treatment is combined with a cleaning step to remove the source material before ozone treatment is applied. Items are then placed in a controlled ozone treatment environment for the appropriate duration. After treatment, garments are aired and inspected before being returned.

FAQ: Odor Removal & Treatment

Ozone (O₃) is a naturally occurring gas that oxidizes organic compounds — including the molecules that cause odors. When used correctly in a controlled environment, it is highly effective at neutralizing odors without damaging fabric. We assess each item before treatment to ensure it's appropriate for the garment.
Yes. Smoke odor is one of the most common odors we treat and one that ozone handles very effectively. For heavily smoke-saturated garments, we may combine cleaning and ozone treatment for the best result.
Mothball odor is persistent but responds well to ozone treatment, particularly when combined with proper airing and cleaning. Heavily saturated items may require multiple treatment cycles.
No. Ozone itself has a faint smell during treatment, but it dissipates completely. Items are aired after treatment and returned odor-free.
Leather and suede require individual assessment before ozone treatment, as prolonged exposure can affect some finishes. We will advise you on the best approach for your specific item.
Treatment times vary depending on the severity of the odor and the type of item. Most garments are ready within 3–5 business days.
